MOSCOMPASS 8 * GT SUPER ELITE
The Moscompass 8 * GT Super Elite is a good choice for those looking for a powerful thumb compass with a rotating capsule, a stable and precise needle for running at top speed and additional markings on the plate for precise course control.
The new compass MosCompass GT not only combines the best elements of a thumb and a traditional plate compass, but also includes new technical solutions. GT-Plate innovations ensure a significantly improved direction of travel and distance control, making the card easier to read. With the MosCompass GT plate, it is much easier to follow the chosen route to the control point, which increases the athlete's confidence and running speed.
The plate is designed for both the right and left hand. It can be supplemented with all MosCompass capsules with different stabilization and settling speed properties.
BETTER DISTANCE CONTROL
With the new compass, the direction of travel can be determined and controlled much more precisely. The red dot at the top of the plate allows you to pinpoint the location and read the map in that area.
HOW TO USE THE NEW 9GT SUPER ELITE
The drawing shows the compass with the new GT plate and its application in the section of phase AB from point Xa to Xb. There is a running direction line on the compass plate, which is interrupted at the top of the plate. Breakpoints are bright red. One of the points is placed at the athlete's location on the map and the other in the direction of point Xb. The distance between the red points of the plate is exactly 2cm. Thus it is possible to determine the running route in nature.
There is an open area on top of the compass plate to make it easier to read the map in the walking area.
Rotating the map with a compass determines the direction of travel. The direction line of the GT plate together with the extended end of the plate shows the athlete the chosen direction of travel more clearly.
In order to successfully maintain the chosen direction while running, the athlete must constantly rotate his body perpendicular to the compass direction line. This is not an easy task since a person has binocular vision, but with peripheral vision, "the line visually shifts a little". For this reason, a horizontal line (T-line) is created at the bottom of the compass plate. By keeping the horizontal line of the compass plate parallel to the body, the vertical direction line is always kept straight and the running direction is determined more precisely.
